It was handled beautifully with no issues at all. We were able to get a covid test at the resort to return to the US. They absolutely did their best to clean it each and everyday. 😊 The only downside which was no fault of the resort was the seaweed. Thank you to all the employees of the resort from bartenders, waiters, chefs, entertainment people, cleaners, pool guys, concierge and everyone else who makes The Excellence Riviera Maya excellent. We appreciate all of your hard work in ensuring our vacation was top notch.
All of the staff wore masks the entire time in 90 degree heat to make sure the guests felt safe, which is no easy thing to do. We were a little nervous going due to the Covid situation but once we got there we felt safe and were able to relax. There were plenty of activities you could enjoy or be a part of. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious and the resort was super clean. My husband and I stayed at this resort for a week for our 20th anniversary and we were completely blown away by all of it.
